Liliana Kubinski: President/Founder
Hello, I am Liliana, the 15-year-old founder of The Do Better Initiative! I believe no one should ever feel like an afterthought, every child deserves to fully thrive, and unmet needs should never be what holds them back. Everything that is done to empower the youth of today shapes the future of tomorrow. In light of this belief, during the holiday season in 2024 I made a goal to fulfill Christmas wishlists for two teens in foster care by putting everything I earned from petsitting/babysitting and reaching out to the community for help. I was overwhelmed by support from family, friends, and my community. Together, we far exceeded my goal and ended up with a total of 31 wishlists fulfilled. A few months later a friend who was travelling to the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, Africa asked if there was anything I would like her to bring. I had recently become aware of the high amounts of period poverty and the effect it has on girls and women. I was met with the same support, and we got 100 reusable period kits together to send with her.
I quickly realized doing things like this was something I wanted to do for the long run, so The Do Better Initiative Corporation was born! Now we have three powerful programs, all with incredibly special places in my heart. Seeing the impact of these missions fill me with a sense of fulfillment that empowers me to Do Better more everyday.
Clara Kubinski: Secretary
Hi! I am Clara The Do Better Initiative’s secretary and proud homeschooling mom of 3 super awesome kids! Liliana is my oldest daughter and the founder of this beautiful nonprofit. What started as our family motto, Do Better, Lily really transformed into something amazing thanks to so many wonderful and encouraging influences in her life. I love being able to share in her passion and pour my energy into something so impactful that really brings together communities near and far to let everyone know they are not alone. I do a lot of the behind the scenes work here at The Do Better Initiative and find it so rewarding to watch Lily grow and share her giving heart with everyone around her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting The Do Better Initiative and Lily’s dream as we continue our mission of giving back and leaving a beautiful mark in so many lives.
Caroline Cole: Treasurer
I’m Caroline Cole and I’m honored to serve as the Treasurer for The Do Better Initiative. My heart has always been with nonprofit work, where I’ve spent years pouring my energy into causes that uplift and empower communities. From advocating for environmental awareness to supporting education and youth, I find joy in connecting with others to create real change. Here at The Do Better Initiative, I’m committed to ending period poverty, improving special education, and empowering foster youth. I bring my passion for organization and my deep care for people to ensure our resources make a lasting impact. I’m driven by the belief that everyone deserves a chance to thrive, and I’m excited to be part of this inspiring mission.
