Why our Programs Matter

End Period Poverty

  • Around the world, over 50 million women and girls face period poverty. With the stigma surrounding periods, it makes it harder to create awareness about it, making it a silent struggle, fought alone. Girls aren't able to go to school, and often are forced to dropout because they can't go for around a week every month. Since they have to resort to using unsanitary things like old rags, most women develop health problems like UTIs, furthering the discomfort during their period.

  • Each of our period kits reminds girls they are not alone, and help keep her learning, healthy, and comfortable despite her period.

Create Inclusive Classrooms

  • For every child to thrive and have the same opportunities as other children, we have to support every learner, and respect their special needs. With funding cuts, school in low income areas sometimes aren't able to do this.

  • By providing schools with sensory regulation kits, adaptive supplies, and teacher workshops, we help make classrooms more inclusive, creating a safe space for every learner to thrive!

Support Foster Youth

  • In Texas approximately 33,000 children are in foster care. Due to home insecurity and changes, many don't receive things like holiday gifts or struggle to receive year round support.

  • During the holidays, we provide teens in foster care in Texas with holiday gifts and essentials to help support them all year long.
