Create Inclusive Classrooms

Our Mission

We believe that every student should have the same opportunities as other students, despite their disabilities. Inspired by Emma Luna, we bring sensory kits, adaptive supplies, and workshops to Central Texas classrooms, allowing every child to thrive, no matter what.

how it works

Kits

We provide schools locally in Texas with sensory regulations kits, with items to help kids stay regulated and focused during school. Each kit includes-

  • Weighted lap pad

  • Visual clock timers

  • Noise canceling headphones

  • Various sensory fidgets

Adaptive Supplies

We work with schools directly to see what adaptive supplies they need personally, to make sure all students have equal opportunities.

Workshops
Our workshops train teachers in sensory-friendly strategies, inclusion practices, and how to use the sensory tools and supplies we provide. Sessions in Texas schools empower educators to set up tools and create classrooms where every student thrives.

Community
Volunteers help assemble kits at community events, fostering inclusion. We advocate for special education through local campaigns, inviting everyone to join our mission for accessible learning.

why Inclusive Classrooms matter to me

Hi, I'm Liliana The Do Better Initiative's 15 year old founder. Supporting inclusive classrooms means a lot to me, because I watched my little sister, Emma Luna, struggle to feel included and get acclimated in her classroom.

It was the simple things for us that held her back, with even simpler solutions. She was antsy during circle time, and the weighted blanket helped her calm down. She didn't know how to tell the teachers what she wanted to say, and communication card boards helped her teachers understand. Play time was just too loud, she couldn't concentrate, so her headphones blocked it out.

She inspired me to try to make a change by giving kids like her the support they need and require to have the same opportunities that other kids get and deserve, no matter what that looks like.

Growing up with her, I’ve seen how tailored support can unlock potential that others might overlook. That’s why our Create Inclusive Classrooms program, including Sensory Regulation Kits, is personal to me.
